Shape and size:
Odorous house ants are small in size, approximately 3mm in body length, and have one node, which is flat in shape. Their bodies are typically dark brown or black in color.

Odorous house ants are the most common ant species found year-round in the Puget Sound area. They are often found behind vegetation along foundations and under carpets inside homes.
