Mice

Mice are one of the most difficult and destructive nuisances in your home. Mice only need an entry point of the size of a nickel to get into your home and establish nests. Mice are able to find water sources and only need a small amount of pet food to stay well fed. In some cases mice can go unnoticed until foul odors and damage to insulation occur in a home. Our technicians are trained to identify mouse behavior and follow the signs toward the entry points of your home. They will block entry to your home and come up with a comprehensive plan to keep them from coming back.

Rats

Rats are generally outdoor creature but if the path of least resistance brings them into your home’s attic or crawl space they will graciously accept the offer. Rats will tend to nest in insulation and bring food into the home. The use of “over the counter” products may lead to dead rodents and foul odors in your living space. Rats in the northwest include the “roof rat” which tend to live in high places. They gain access by getting to your roof mainly from exterior vegetation and trees. You will generally notice them in the early hours of the morning as they move into your home from their outdoor activities. Norway rats are burrowers and generally gain access to the home by burrowing or chewing through vulnerable spaces near the ground. They are also known to enter through broken dryer vents or the screens in your foundation. Our technicians are trained to identify the areas of egress and place barriers keeping them from making your home their home.

Other Rodents

The Northwest is home to many other animal nuisances including squirrels, birds, bats, and raccoons. All of these animals may find your home a comfortable place to live. Our trained technicians will come out to assess the pest problem and come up with a comprehensive plan. In most cases we prefer to set up a system to get the animals out that does not allow them back in. This may include one way doors or live trapping.
